All measurements given for our lampshades are in centimetres, and refer to the base diameter of the shade (that is, the widest part). You can also find the height and top diameter of each shade in the individual product description.

For pendant lights, we give dimensions based on the shade element of the light, as chains and flexes can be very easily shortened to suit your preference.

At Soffle, we’re committed to producing high quality, beautiful lampshades that minimise waste and focus on ethical, sustainable production. We work closely with our artisan producers in India who use time honoured techniques and traditional methods to bring our thoroughly modern designs to life.

In order to make online ordering as simple as possible, all light base heights are calculated to the top of the bulb holder. Because the extra 4cm or so will disappear inside your lampshade, we find this is a much easier way to calculate the total height of your finished light. Simply add on the height of the shade, and voila! You have the full height.

Wherever possible, we use recyclable and biodegradable materials when packaging your item. At this stage, due to the fragile nature of our products, some minimal non-recyclable material is required when shipping, to ensure your Soffle lights arrive safe and sound. We’re working on finding a long term solution that uses only recyclable and biodegradable packaging — so watch this space!
